 September 22nd is the Autumn Equinox, which marks the official beginning of Fall. If you're not familiar with the significance of the Equinox, it is one of the two times in the year when the amount of daylight and nighttime are equal. It's a time to honor the harvest, whether that be the "real" harvest of God's physical provision, or the harvest of efforts and intentions for all God is doing in your life.  To me, it's an amazing time to tune inwards, do a reset and reconnect to God.

This Year’s Theme:

Faith Over Fear

I'm going to be vulnerable here for a minute, I really struggle with fear. Fear of people's opinion. Fear of failure. Fear of missing out on God's plan for my life. Fear of letting people I care about down. Fear of the future.The list goes on.

But, this is NOT the life God has for us. Jesus didn't come, die and conquer sin through His resurrection for me to wallow in my fear. The enemy wants to keep me shackled in fear so that I stay quiet, so that I never chase after my dreams and live in the power of Christ. Amen?!

This is what we'll be turning our hearts towards during our time together. The reality is, we probably won't win the war against fear this side of eternity, but we CAN win the everyday battles.

That's what I pray you'll leave with after our time together. The faith and confidence to know that God is with you every moment, fighting those battles with and for you. The main passage of Scripture we’ll be centered in during our time is Psalm 62, specifically The Passion Translation.

My prayer is that you'll take to heart the words of David in Psalm 62:11-12a:

"God said to me once and for all, 'All the strength and power you need flows from me!' And again I heard it clearly said, 'All the love you need is found in me!'..."
